Hayden is Here!

Che Che and baby Hayden

Hi Everyone!

I'm no longer the youngest kid on the Kurtz side of the family. Hayden Myles Termer joined the family on Uncle Paul's Birthday--February 21, 2010. He is soooo small (actually, he's the same weight I was when I was born 7lbs. 1 oz., but he is longer at 20 1/2 inches). He is pretty cute and does not cry very loud--which is nice. Mommy and I have visited him almost once a week since his birth. He's not sleeping much yet, so Che Che is pretty tired. But I think he's getting better. Everyone keeps telling me I will have fun playing with Hayden when he gets a little bigger. That will be fun.

I actually did not get to meet baby Hayden until he was a few weeks old. They have a rule at the hospital where Hayden was born that you have to be 14 years old to visit the maternity ward (apparently, it has to do with something called H1N1--whatever that is). Well, that certainly excluded my cousins Eli, Obi and me. Of course we did not learn of the rule until we arrived at the hospital. We were disappointed, but tried to make the most of it. The picture below is of Eli, Obi and me hanging out in the waiting room. We called ourselves the reject cousins. At long last now we have all met Hayden, so we boy cousins can now all hang out!

We had a big snow fall after Hayden was born. So in honor of his birth, we named the sledding hill that Mommy and Daddy discovered in our backyard, Hayden Hill! Hayden Hill is perfect for the sled that Mimi and Papa got me for Christmas. I love playing in the snow. I even helped Mommy and Daddy build a snowman--check out the video of me sleding down Hayden Hill. I also have a few snowman photos to share.

I'm very happy to have another cousin! I can't wait until Hayden can play with me. Mommy says it will happen before we know it. Well, lots more has happened in the last month that I will write about soon. Like Aunt Florence turning 100 years old. That was quite the get together. So stay tuned.
I'm glad Spring is here. I love playing in the backyard without the snow too! This is going to be a great Spring and Summer. I'm going to make sure that Mommy and Daddy get lots of exercise chasing me around.

Before I go, here are a few more photos of baby Hayden. The first is the whole Termer family and the second is just cute and sleeping baby Hayden.

Love to all!
