I'm 4 months old today

Wow, how quickly time has gone (at least that's what Mommy says). I on the other hand continue to think these last 4 months have been a lifetime. Well, okay, it has been my lifetime.

There's still so much ahead of me to do and learn, but I've been busy practicing sitting up, standing up (albeit with a lot of help), rolling over, and "talking." I've also been growing out of my clothes, meeting lots of people, traveling a good bit, and napping now and then. I've said it before . . . this growing up stuff is hard work--I'm tuckered out!

Since my last entry, I celebrated my very first Easter. It was very special. We were with Mimi and PaPa and the whole Hoffman crew. When we arrived, we were greeted by a BIG Welcome Jamee sign with messages from everyone-even the animals! The day before Easter, Mimi had an Easter egg hunt for us kids. Timmy and Sarah found most of the eggs, but I was able to slip two into my hands--check out the photo of me with my two eggs in hand.

On Easter morning, I woke up bright and early at 5:15 a.m. so Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to the Sunrise service and breakfast. It was a cold morning, but beautiful overlooking Lake Champlain and the Vermont mountains across the lake. Truth be told, I slept through the whole service. I also slept through a good bit of the Easter service later that day, but I enjoyed what I was awake for and know that we were celebrating the risen King.

After the Easter service we went back to Mimi's and Papa's for a wonderful ham dinner. The whole Hoffman family was there including Great Aunt Pat (we saw Great Uncle Steve at the sunrise service). We had a wonderful time together.

So far I'm really enjoying Spring! Mommy and Daddy have taken me on many walks (so has Aunt Susanne)! This past Saturday Aunt Susanne and all the Kurtz cousins came over for the afternoon (Uncle Paul was at a track meet). We all went to the Churchville Park and had a great time. The older kids were flying kites--it looked really fun. I, on the other hand, got to swing on the swings and go down the slide for the first time. I can't wait to go back.

I can almost sit up by myself!

Hi everyone,

Oma and Opa were at my house this past week/weekend. Oma got the idea to have mommy try and have me sit up all by myself. I gave it a try and have been practicing since and can do it pretty well for about 15 seconds--then I fall over. I'll keep working on this in the days ahead.

Friday, mommy, daddy, and I are heading to Mimi and PaPa's for Easter. Aunt Lucy, Uncle Mike, Sarah and Timmy and Uncle Steve are all going to be there. I'm very very excited about my first Easter. I know I can't eat the chocolate and candy (I hear that's something to look forward to) but there will be lots of pretty colors and flowers to look at. Mommy is going to dress me in my cute monkey print outfit (see picture below) it is warm, still fits me (I'm wearing 3/6 month outfits now) and it is light blue (Easter color).

Well everyone have a blessed Easter! Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Love,

Jamee
