Bulking Up, Shots, and Uncle Steve

Boy did I feel yucky yesterday! Today I'm much happier!

What do bulking up, shots, and Uncle Steve have in common? Yesterday!

Yesterday, I found out that I now weigh 9 lbs. 13 1/2 oz. and am 22 1/2 inches. My mom was so proud--she even gave me a high five (I'm still learning how to high five back--that skill has not been conquered).

Yesterday I also got my 2 month shots. That was so not fun! My face turned beet red and I screamed so hard no sound came out. The nurse had to tell me to breathe. I got two shots in my left leg and one in the right. The nurse was very quick--I hardly knew what was happening until it was over, and then I knew it just hurt.

Yesterday I also met my Uncle Steve for the first time. He's pretty cool and even showed up in a tie--just for me! I felt bad for Uncle Steve though because I was pretty fussy--I felt yucky from those shots. Uncle Steve was kind and still held me--at least until I started to scream. Finally, Mommy gave me some baby Tylenol and then I was out for the rest of the evening. I feel much better today--what a relief! I even smiled for Uncle Steve before he had to head back home. I'm going to my Mimi and PaPa's this weekend and Uncle Steve is planning on being there too. I'm looking forward to visiting and seeing Mimi and PaPa's new house.

Well, yesterday was indeed full as are most days. This growing up stuff is pretty exhausting, but I'm rolling with it.

I've Discovered Toys!!

This weekend I discovered my hanging toys. What fun!! I can now be completely happy by myself for nearly 20 minutes just playing. My mom and dad are totally entertained by me. I have quite the left--I can really send the bird and the frog flying.

Now that I am 2 months old I can do the following:
  • Play with my hanging toys and entertain myself
  • Coo
  • Smile a lot
  • Grip items
  • Hold up a bottle
  • Hold myself up with my legs while Mommy or Daddy supports me
  • Enjoy a good bath
  • Sleep in my bassinet
  • Fit into my 0-3 month outfits
  • Headbutt

Wheels at 2 Months!!

Hi everyone! Check out my new wheels! We've had a few unseasonably warm days giving Mommy, Daddy, and me a chance to test drive my new wheels. They are great--and I love getting outside and discovering my Churchville world. I also like my snugly bear suit and warm blanket. I can't wait for consistently warmer weather so I can get outside for some real "hiking."

Giddy Up . . .

Well, it's been longer than I had planned since my last entry. Life is already full. Mommy has been busier this past week with several work projects, so I've not had as much computer time.

I did want to share a few photos of my new horse that Mimi and Papa brought me. It's too cool!!! I'm still too small to ride my horse by myself, so daddy helps me.

After a wonderful weekend with Mimi and Papa my daddy, mommy and daddy's good friend "uncle" Pete watched the 43rd Super Bowl. Check out the photo's of my first Super Bowl. We had a great time.

My First Visit with Mimi and Papa!

Papa and Mimi came all the way from Willsboro, NY to visit me. I am so glad they did!! We had a wonderful time together! I'll write more tomorrow. I'm pretty tired today, but I wanted to at least post a few photos. I love my Mimi and Papa!!

Happy 1 Month Birthday to Me!

Hi Everyone,

Thursday was my 1 month birthday. Wow, where has the time gone?!?!? I thought I'd share a few of the things I've accomplished in my 31 days of life on the outside:
  • I can sleep up to 5 hours through the night (not consistently--but my mom and dad appreciate it when I do!)

  • I can eat out of a bottle, a syringe and feeding tube, a cup and have had some success at the breast

  • I can squirm off of a pillow (see photos below)

  • I can smile albeit selectively at this point--people think I'm really cute when I do!

  • I can fill my diaper pretty regularly!

  • I can look around as though discovering the world around me for the first time

  • I can enjoy a good book (when it's read to me--my dad is great at doing that)

  • I can now fill out my Newborn sized outfits--finally!!

  • Nap, snooze and sleep!

  • Cuddle!

Well, that's at least a few of the things I'm doing these days. My days are indeed full!

For my 1 month birthday, my mom made a cake--yellow cake with milk chocolate icing and sprinkles too. I got to taste it 24 hours after my mom and dad had their piece (through the milk that is). Pretty tasty! You can see a photo of the happy family with the cake.

Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009

Happy Inauguration day 2009!

I'm not sure yet if I'm Republican or Democrat, but I was very excited today to watch my first inauguration. I saw history in the making. My mom made me watch it and I'm glad she did. Thought you'd enjoy seeing some of the photos of President Obama and me! Oh and a few other photos from the inauguration and other recent photos.

I'm still growing! I nearly fill out my newborn outfits--probably have a few more weeks in them.

Well, enjoy the photos.
